Week 23: Containers!

  • Oh boi, a talk I submitted to Container Days was accepted, meaning I’ll be on-stage talking about Container Vulnerability Management in Kubernetes! I’m very excited and very nervous, it’s been a few years since I held a technical talk, but new things are fun so here we go!
  • For the first time in a long time I’m very happy with this website and the content of it. Adding photography to it feels like the right choice, the Weeknotes are nice and quite popular with colleagues (Hi Annika, Annika, Yannick, SΓΆren, et all πŸ‘‹)
  • Speaking of colleagues, we went to play Lasertag and it was a blast (pun intended). Already looking forward to the next time, it’s always a lot of fun!
  • I continued playing Jedi: Survivor and I’m having a blast. The Gameplay feels a bit… weird in some areas but the combat, lightsaber crafting, and story are good. Especially lightsaber crafting. I could play a game that’s entirely focused around collecting lightsaber parts and fighting Stormtroopers.
  • After taking way too long to finish “Utopia” I picked up “Aurora Rising” by my favourite author Alastair Reynolds again.
    • Alastair Reynolds is a fantastic SciFi author, and I cannot recommend him enough. Besides books he also writes good short stories like Scales (free to read), which can also be listend to on Guardian (read by the author)
  • My sister-in-law and niece also visited for the long weekend which was nice. They life half-across the country so we don’t see each other too often and it was nice having them around.
