A sunny Monday in the park
I used the good weather yesterday for a walk through the park. It felt so good to be out in the sun! I took quite a lot of photos, here are some I like.

Beautiful Rhine landscapes
A week ago or so I was on a beautiful hike through the Niederwald near Rüdesheim with some colleagues from AOE. I’ve actually never been to Rüdesheim before, despite living “close” all my life. I brought my Fujifilm X-Pro1 and the Konica Hexanon 40mm f1.8 lens.

Last weekend we went to the Frankfurt Zoo and of course I took my camera with me. I decided to go with the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and Konica Hexanon 28mm F3.5 lens. With a crop factor of 1.5 the 28mm lens is a 42mm lens equivalent. I really like the 28mm F3.5 both on my analog…

A bunch of selfies on pushed film
“Pushing film” means you shoot a film at a higher ISO than what it is rated for. Shooting a 100 ISO film at 200 ISO means it’s pushed +1 or “one stop”. Shooting it at 400 means it’s pushed +2 or “two stops” and so on. From my experience this increases the contrast and removes…

Lunch break walk
In my lunch break I took my Fujifilm X30 for a walk through town and tested a new black and white preset I created. I love the strong blacks and subtle, almost soft greys it gives.

I swear I know how to spool film
…but this time I just couldn’t make it work. When you develop Film it needs to be put in a plastic spool so there’s space between the layers of film and every piece of film gets in contact with the developer. I spent 45 minutes trying to spool some 120 film and then gave up…
